Women often struggle in the IT field to grow their careers after 3-5 years of work experience. I am listing seven tips below that will ensure you are always on top of your game.
Follow these to grow while taking care of your commitments. No need to compromise on your salary and career growth. With these steps, you can be at the same level as your male counterparts in big IT MNCs like Accenture, Publicis Sapient, KPMG and Deloitte.
- Prioritization: Striking a balance and proving your worth to the
Project Manager is necessary for positive growth. Prioritize your tasks
for the week and keep the manager in the loop in case of any
contingencies.
- Upskilling: Keep doing training and strive to learn from your
seniors.
- Showcasing
Achievements: Even if no one notices,
maintain a record of all your achievements and milestones. You can send a
quarterly email to your manager highlighting your work and efforts made by
you.
- The
support system at home: Create
a support system in the form of family members, hired help and create an
environment where you can devote 8 hours dedicatedly for office
work.
- Utilizing
Hybrid work style: If
you cannot come to office daily, plan weekly visits such that your
performance is not affected at any front.
