In various Publicis Sapient reviews, you would have heard of the exemplary work culture in the organization. Have you wondered, what it exactly means? I was confused about it and thought of ways to narrate it. Then I came across the term: Entrepreneurial Work Culture.
I wondered how IT MNCs
can have this work culture and if it even matters. Turns out, it matters a lot.
What is entrepreneurial work culture?
In an early-stage
startup, with 10-20 employees, each one can be an entrepreneur as they are
setting up processes and exploring new opportunities to grow on a limited
budget. The same is true for IT MNCs as well. I have seen HCL, TCS and Publicis
Sapient promoting entrepreneurial work culture in their organization. However,
it is hard to recognize it subjectively. If your organization provides the
following benefits, you have experienced its exemplary work culture already:
- No micromanagement for small
tasks:
Allowing employees to identify opportunities, take calculated risks, and
make decisions. A strong sense of ownership and empowerment is a mood
booster for people. For example, a code upgrade needs to be done and can
be done in 2-3 ways. You have the liberty to choose the code design and
logic. What matters is: that the code should be robust, scalable and pass the quality tests.
- Encouraging personal branding: It may be
through participating in internal hackathons or applying in external
communities. Being a LinkedIn Influencer or a professional blogger on the
company’s official website. These growth opportunities are confidence boosters and catalysts in the future path.
- Encouraging employee education: Many IT
MNCs provide free courses and certifications to their employees. However,
providing a platform alone is not fulfilling as people may not use them.
Hence, Publicis Sapient encourages employees to pursue courses by having a
centralized learning dashboard.
- Open work culture: Where
every voice matters and all ideas are taken into account by the
leadership team. In Publicis Sapient, I recently attended a 3-day offsite
where the 2023 strategy was discussed for our vertical. It was inspiring
to listen to our leaders as they empower and encourage our ideas for
consideration.
Based on the above, I
will state that yes, Publicis Sapient does have an entrepreneurial work
culture. People in the tech and non-tech domains are open to learning, growing
and innovating at their own pace. You can approach leaders anytime. You can do
free courses from Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft, AWS and O’Reilly.
If you do not
believe me, read other Publicis Sapient company reviews and form your own opinion.
